Changing the world, one diaper at a time

All babies deserve to be clean, dry and healthy, but unfortunately diapers can become a serious financial burden for many families.

The average child will use about 7,000 diapers in their lifetime, before graduating to wearing underwear. When a family cannot afford to purchase enough diapers without compromising on their basic needs (food, housing, medical, utilities etc), they experience “diaper need”.

1 in 3 U.S. families with young children experience diaper need, exposing these babies to potential health risks and making it less likely for them to be accepted to day cares, leaving their parents or caregivers, unable to attend work. Unfortunately, this statistic was from prior to the millions of job losses that have occurred since the Covid pandemic started.

Historically, most diaper bank clients live below the poverty line and more than a quarter of families in diaper need rely on diaper banks to help fulfil the diaper need gap.

Access to clean diapers not only helps avoid medical expenses associated with diaper rash and urinary tract infections, but also allows parents to go to work. A 2016 study identified that a majority of families receiving diapers from diaper banks, have jobs.

In February 2022, the annual inflation rate in the US rose 7.9%, the highest increase since 1982. These increases in cost-of-living expenses will only add more pressure to families, making it even more difficult to afford diapers.

The Naturalena Brands Foundation recently donated 32,480 Happy Little Camper natural baby diapers to The Las Vegas Diaper Bank!

The Las Vegas Diaper Bank serves the greater Las Vegas Community and Clark County by providing diapers, baby wipes, and breast-feeding supplies to those in need.

Here at Naturalena Brands, we believe we can change the world by helping women and children across the globe, creating a positive impact on our communities. Our Natural Baby Care products are plant-based, eco-friendly and free from harmful chemicals, which means they are not only better for babies, but also better for the planet.

Whilst there's a very long way to go to ending diaper need, we know this donation will go some way towards helping families in need.
